Get Bear Strength creates durable, purpose-built training tools for athletes who hang, pull, climb, grapple, and train hard — and want their hands, elbows, and shoulders to last.
This project exists because grip is often the weak link — and when it fails, performance gets harder fast.
Why this exists
The founder trains for sports where grip is a limiting factor.
Over time, it became clear that being strong wasn’t enough. Fixed bars and static grips only take athletes so far. Once an athlete can hang, pull, and control bodyweight, the next constraint is control under rotation — the kind of demand that exposes limitations in the hands, elbows, and shoulders.
The goal isn’t just to perform better today.
It’s to be stronger than the demands of the sport, so joints hold up for the long run.
That’s performance — and injury prevention.
Grip strength is also increasingly recognized as a practical signal tied to longevity and overall resilience. Either way you look at it, grip matters.
The gap in existing training tools
You can see the demand anywhere hanging becomes a game — summer fairs, festivals, and events with hang challenges, prize money, and long lines of people waiting to test themselves.
The same thing happens in gyms: people compete, track progress, and push their limits.
But most setups stop at fixed bars.
Once an athlete can control a fixed bar, adding controlled rotation raises the demand and forces better stabilization — revealing limitations static tools can’t.
That gap is where Get Bear Strength lives.

This is a founder-built project, run by a designer-engineer with nearly a decade of experience designing and engineering strength equipment.

Manufacturing is done in the USA with a local, experienced fitness equipment manufacturer using modern equipment and repeatable processes.
The founder has a long-standing relationship with this manufacturer and has successfully brought strength equipment from concept to production before.
The process is straightforward:
- Finalize the production run
- Build using verified materials and processes
- Perform final fit and function checks before shipping
This approach prioritizes quality and consistency, not speed.
We do not offshore this product.
